  • Article 1 (Purpose)

      The purpose of this Code of Ethics is to establish the standards of value judgment and related provisions for the practice of ethical management by KBB.

  • Article 2 (Scope of Application)

      This Code of Ethics applies to all executives, employees, and partners of KBB.

  • Article 3 (Definitions)
    • Bribery: Means cash, securities, goods, and other economic benefits.
    • Entertainment and Hospitality: Means benefits, including as meals, liquor, treat, and entertainment.
    • Convenience: Means accommodation, transportation, event support, tour guidance, and any services, other than bribery and entertainment, that result in economic loss for the benefit of the recipient.
  • Article 4 (Proactive Information Disclosure)
    • The Company records and manages accounting data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles to disclose financial status and business performance transparently.
    • The Company provides accurate management information in a timely manner in accordance with the relevant laws, so that investors and other information users can make rational investment decisions.
  • Article 5 (Respect for Customers)
    • The Company always listens to opinions of customers and sets customer satisfaction as the priority for all decisions and actions.
    • The Company responds to customers in a polite and professional manner and maintains neat appearance and attire.
    • The Company prioritizes the business of customers.
    • The Company responds to phone calls with customers in a kind and sincere manner.
  • Article 6 (Fulfillment of Promises with Customers)
    • The Company always keeps the promises with customers and speaks the truth only.
    • The Company actively responds to the basic sales activity-related issues, including phone calls, visits, delivery, and customer complaints, to minimize inconvenience of customers.
  • Article 7 (Providing Necessary Value to Customers)
    • The Company strives to create the value customers need, with the understanding that customer growth leads to the growth of the Company.
    • The Company provides the best-quality products and services at reasonable prices to meet customer demands, and responds to the legitimate requests of customers in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Article 8 (Protection of Customer Interests)
    • The Company promptly responds to legitimate requests for product exchanges or returns.
    • The Company does not engage in any unethical behavior in the relationship with customers. The Company does not use or disclose customer-related information to third parties without a prior consent.
  • Article 9 (Compliance with Laws and Commercial Practices)
    • The Company does not engage in any violation of domestic laws related to fair trade.
    • The overseas employees strive to comply with the local laws and commercial practices by familiarizing with them.
  • Article 10 (Respect for Free Market Competition)
    • The Company practices fair competition based on mutual respect for competitors. The Company does not infringe on the interests of competitors or exploit their weaknesses unfairly.

    • The Company obtains and utilizes information through legitimate methods in accordance with laws and commercial practice customs. The Company does not disclose information unfairly, even if the information pertains to a competitor.

    • The Company ensures that all transactions are conducted fairly on an equal footing, and the Company sufficiently consults on the terms and procedures.
    • The Company mutually consults with the partner when making any changes to the transaction terms.
    • The Company focuses on securing fairness in evaluation of the partner, by applying objective and clear criteria.
  • Article 12 (Prohibition of Unfair Practice)
    • When terminating transactions with fixed partners, the Company provides clear reasons and dates to secure objectivity and legitimacy.
    • The Company secures fairness by preventing any unilateral transaction termination involving unjust methods.
    • The Company does not receive any money, entertainment, hospitality, or convenience from the partner by using a superior position obtained from the business.
  • Article 13 (Pursuit of Mutual Growth)
    • The Company strives to encourage transparent transaction through fair and reasonable business relationships.
    • The Company actively supports the growth of the partner by helping them build long-term competitiveness and sharing the resulting profits.
  • Article 14 (Basic Ethics)
    • All employees of KBB take pride and confidence as members of KBB and maintain an honest and sincere manner at all times.
    • The Company encourages active cooperation and smooth communication among colleagues and departments for efficient achievement of goals and values pursued by the Company.
    • The employees strictly distinguish between public and private matters and do not use property or money of the Company for personal purposes.
    • The employees inform business partner of personal events to avoid causing undue burden.
    • The employees seek self-development to recognize the changing environments and develop an ability to lead the Company.
    • The employees try their best to prevent accidents based on thorough safety inspections and management.
    • The employees strive to prevent the leakage of customer and internal information and use only legally licensed software.
    • The employees use the resources of the Company efficiently and avoid waste.
  • Article 15 (Practice of Fair Business)
    • The Company conducts all tasks in a fair and legitimate manner, and does not engage in any actions that violate laws, internal regulations, or commercial practices.
    • The Company does not accept any form of economic benefit from stakeholders that may disrupt the fairness of business.
    • The Company does not engage in any unethical behaviors that are not acceptable by social norms in business or personal life.
    • The supervisor does not instruct his or her subordinates to perform tasks that violate laws, internal regulations, or commercial customs. The subordinates hold the right to refuse such tasks and do not suffer any disadvantages for reporting it to the Company.
  • Article 16 (Prohibition of Financial Transactions, Solicitation, and Gift Among Employees)
    • The Company, in principle, prohibits financial loans, joint guarantees, and mutual guarantees among employees.
    • The Company prohibits employees from making unfair business-related solicitations or receiving any form of economic benefit in return for such solicitations.
    • The Company, in principle, prohibits gifting among employees. Provided, this shall not apply to the following cases. - A voluntary gift from a superior to a subordinate - A modest gift exchanged among department members with mutual consent on birthdays or special occasions
  • Article 17 (Prevention of Workplace Sexual Harassment)
    • The employees shall not engage in deliberate or unnecessary physical contact that causes discomfort.
    • The employees shall not make sexual comments or evaluations about physical appearances of the colleagues.
    • The employees shall not make any remarks or behavior that cause sexual embarrassment or reinforce gender stereotypes.
    • The employees shall not force alcohol or dancing at gatherings and refrain from obscene jokes.
    • The employees shall not watch pornographic content, including adult websites, at the workplace.
  • Article 18 (Mutual Respect)
    • The employees shall observe basic etiquette necessary for office life.
    • The employees shall avoid disrespectful language or behavior and disparaging remarks.
    • The employees shall not engage in actions that cause distress or discomfort to others.
    • The employees shall not form factions or engage in discriminatory behavior based on academic background, gender, religion, family relations, place of origin, disability, nationality, or race.
  • Article 19 (Respect for Employees and Talent Development)
    • The Company establishes systems to encourage employees to take pride and feel rewarded in their work with a sense of ownership.
    • The Company provides all employees with opportunities for job-related education. The employees share the tangible and intangible knowledge they obtained for the development of the Company.
    • The Company respects personal privacy and strives to establish a corporate culture based on mutual trust and understanding.
    • The Company creates an environment where employees can perform tasks creatively and strive to identify and address their concerns.
  • Article 20 (Fair Treatment)
    • The Company provides equal job opportunities considering the aptitude and talents of the employees.
    • The Company evaluates and rewards the employees based on their abilities and performance using objective criteria.
    • The Company provides equal opportunities for employees to improve their skills and does not discriminate based on school background, gender, religion, family ties, place of origin, disability, nationality, or race.
  • Article 21 (Sound Business Activity)
    • The Company refrains from any actions that disrupt sound business activities.
    • The Company does not engage in any behavior that harms the national economy or causes public discomfort.
  • Article 22 (Contribution to National Development and Community through Employment, Taxation, and Welfare)
    • The Company contributes to national development through job creation and faithful tax payment and fulfills its corporate responsibility through educational, cultural, and welfare programs.
    • The Company encourages and supports employees to participate in sound social volunteer activities.
    • The Company listens to and makes efforts to address the legitimate demands of each social group and local residents.
  • Article 23 (Environmental Protection and Eco-Friendly Product Development)
    • The Company strives to minimize the emission of pollutants and promptly responds in the event of an accident to prevent harm to the local community.
    • The Company complies with all environment protection-related laws and regulations and strives to develop eco-friendly products and services.
    • The Company actively participates in environmental conservation activities in the community.
  • Article 24 (Prohibition of Political Activities and Illegal Contributions in the Workplace)
    • The Company does not allow any political activities at the workplace.
    • The Company does not illegally support any election candidates or political parties.
  • Article 25 (Compliance with Code of Ethics by Employees)
    • All employees shall comply with the Code of Ethics. The executives and managers are responsible for ensuring that their subordinates comply with the Code of Ethics.
    • In case of violating the Code of Ethics, the Company investigates the causes of violations and trains the employees to prevent recurrence.
    • All employees shall faithfully comply with the Code of Ethics, and the employees shall be subject to disciplinary actions for any violations.
    • If an employee is forced into or becomes aware of a violation of the Code of Ethics, he or she shall report it to the department head, executive, human resources department, or via email. Any suspicious action shall be discussed with a supervisor or executive before proceeding.
